YOUR INFORMATION

Privacy & cookies

Updated 23 October 2026. Colin Mahon, operating as My Bathroom Renovation, is responsible for the personal information collected through this website. We are based in Dublin 15, Ireland, serving Dublin and Meath.

Contact and privacy requests

Use our enquiry form to contact us or request access, correction or deletion of your information. Write “Privacy request” in the message and include your enquiry reference if you have it. You can select WhatsApp as your preferred reply method in the enquiry form, or reply to our previous correspondence. We may need to confirm your identity before releasing personal information.

Information we collect and why

Our form collects your name, email address, contact number, area, project details, timing, style preferences, enquiry type and preferred reply method. We record the enquiry reference, submission date, your acknowledgement and notification status. Required details let us respond, prepare a quote or arrange a showroom visit. Please avoid including sensitive personal information in your message.

We use renovation enquiries to take steps at your request before entering a contract and, if you book work, to manage that contract. We have a legitimate interest in answering other requests, maintaining relevant correspondence and protecting the website against abuse. Records needed to meet legal obligations are handled on that basis. Submitting an enquiry does not subscribe you to marketing. We do not use automated decision-making or profiling to decide your quote.

Storage and service providers

Enquiries are stored in our website database and a notification is sent to our business inbox. OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare provide website hosting and database services; Resend delivers enquiry notifications; Google provides our email service. Access is limited to those who need the information to operate these services or handle your enquiry. Hosting services may process technical request information such as IP addresses and security logs.

These providers operate internationally, so information may be processed outside the European Economic Area. Their privacy and data-processing terms explain the transfer arrangements and safeguards that apply. You can request more information about the providers handling your enquiry through the contact route above.

WhatsApp enquiries

If you choose WhatsApp, the completed form is saved and sent to our business inbox first. You can then open WhatsApp with your enquiry details and reference ready to send. A WhatsApp message is only sent when you tap Send in WhatsApp. WhatsApp is an independent service with its own privacy policy.

How long we keep information

Retention depends on whether your enquiry remains active, a quote is being considered, work is booked, or information is needed to resolve a query or dispute. We keep enquiry information only for as long as those purposes require. If work proceeds, relevant contract and accounting records may need to be retained for legal obligations. You can ask us to delete information that is no longer needed; a legal obligation or an ongoing dispute may limit what can be deleted.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your personal information, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Use the contact details above to make a request. You can also raise a concern with Ireland’s Data Protection Commission.

Cookies

This website does not add advertising cookies or analytics trackers. Hosting and security services may use essential cookies needed to provide the website. Opening WhatsApp takes you to a separate service that manages its own cookies and privacy settings.
